T-Mobile HSPA+ customers reportedly use nearly twice the data as other subscribers

The Verge writes, T-Mobile isn't planning to start the rollout of its LTE network until 2013, but in the meantime it appears users are taking advantage of the carrier's 42Mbps HSPA+ network. According to a presentation obtained by Fierce Wireless, reportedly used during T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray's presentation at this past week's NGMN Conference, users on the company's fastest network consume an average of 1.3GB of data every month, compared to just 760MB for other users. The presentation also notes that the HSPA+ network covers 220 million users nationwide, with over 50 percent of the carrier's contract subscribers using devices that are capable of taking advantage of its faster speeds.
