GigaDevice to kick off volume production of 17nm DDR3 chips in September

China-based memory chipmaker GigaDevice will kick off volume shipments of 17nm DDR3 memory chips in September, with ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) being contracted to manufacture the chips, according to industry sources.
