Taiwan's MCU makers turn to Chinese OSATs for cost reduction

Taiwan's MCU makers including Holtek Semiconductor are not expected to trim their inventory to normal levels until the second half of the year, and they are moving to rely more on China-based OSATs for backend services to reduce manufacturing costs, according to supply chain sources.
