China reportedly pours CNY12.1 billion into local chipmaking sector

In 2022, the Chinese government allocated CNY12.1 billion (US$1.75 billion) in subsidies to 190 listed semiconductor companies to fill the gap left by US restrictions on advanced semiconductor manufacturing, according to a South China Morning Post report.
