South Korea's parliament passed the "Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Establishing a Trustworthy Foundation" (AI Basic Act) on December 26, 2024, establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework as the country aims to position itself among the world's top three AI leaders by 2027.
