    Group B Results

Though C9 didn't have to start from Group A, they still had a long road to the final. Below you can find a quick description of the Group B Stage matches that Cloud9 played.

    Liquid vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Vertigo (10-16)

Cloud9 began the first match of this group with a victory against Team Liquid on Vertigo. Actually, such an outcome was expected since Liquid had shown a poor performance in the PGL Major, being eliminated too far from the Playoffs.

    FURIA vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Vertigo (16-9)

    Map 2: Mirage (16-13)

The promising start of Cloud9 was cut short by FURIA's victory. The first map, which is Vertigo, was C9' a pick. But the CT-side of the Brazilians was impressive. On Mirage, the situation was similar. The first halftime ended with 8-7 for FURIA. But after the change of sides, Cloud9's performance was full of doubts and small failures that the Brazilian team knew how to take advantage of.

    NiP vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Vertigo (16-19)

    Map 2: Overpass (5-16)

With this result, Cloud9 had to overcome NiP in the Lower Bracket to preserve their playoff chances. The first game was played on Vertigo, which was the C9's pick. Despite that, the game was very competitive and reached overtime. But with a good performance of the C9's sniper Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, the American team managed to save the clutch and close the first round.

The second map was Overpass, where the American team had 11-4 favorable as counter-terrorists. The second half for NiP wasn't better. Perhaps the ninjas were eliminated from the tournament so early because they arrived without hampus.

    The Playoffs Results

Cloud9 got the last place in the group from the playoff bracket after beating Liquid and NiP. The American team had to face FaZe Clan in the Quarterfinals and BIG in the Semifinals. Below we have listed the recap of those two matches.

    FaZe vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Overpass (16-14)

    Map 2: Inferno (13-16)

    Map 3: Mirage (13-16)

The first round was played on Overpass. The first halftime ended with 8-7 for FaZe Clan. In the second half, FaZe went ahead with 12-8 on the scoreboard and then closed the round despite Cloud9's efforts to reach overtime. In the next two games C9 went ahead, but FaZe tied these both series with a very tight 13-16 in Inferno and Mirage.

    BIG vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Overpass (16-14)

    Map 2: Dust 2 (9-16)

    Map 3: Ancient (3-16)

After beating FaZe with a 2-1 in the Quarterfinals, C9 didn't want to slow down. Hence, they managed to beat BIG with a 2-1 on the scoreboard in the Semifinals. The first round in Overpass was very competitive and ended 16-14 for BIG. Despite this, C9 decimated the German organization in Dust2 and Ancient.

    Grand Final Results

Cloud9 and ENCE played in the final of the IEM Dallas 2022. The two best CS:GO teams in the world faced each other to fight for the trophy.

    ENCE vs Cloud9

    Map 1: Mirage (12-16)

    Map 2: Overpass (11-16)

    Map 3: Ancient (3-16)

C9 started with the CT side in Mirage. The Finnish organization set the 5-10 before the change of sides, but Cloud9 planted an outstanding defensive wall by granting only two rounds to its rival. HObbit and Sh1ro were largely responsible for 16-12 to get ahead in the Best of 5.

The tables changed in Overpass, but with the same end. The American organization played a daring and dynamic terrorist side to take the 10-5 in its favor. The second half of the game did not end up damaging Cloud9's economy to put 2-0 with a 16-11.

The CT side of C9 in Ancient was decisive. The 3-12 of the Russian roster was more than enough to finish the grand final by 16-3 with an excellent performance by nafany and sh1ro.
